Islamabad (Web Desk): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday strongly condemned the attack on former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa and the vehicle of the Pakistani High Commission in London.
Naqvi has instructed the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to swiftly review video footage in order to identify the perpetrators. He confirmed that legal action will be initiated against those involved, including filing a First Information Report (FIR) in Pakistan to pursue further measures.
The minister announced that the attackers' ID cards and passports will be deactivated, and efforts will be made to revoke their citizenship.
Naqvi stated that the matter of citizenship revocation will be presented to the cabinet for consideration.
Emphasizing zero tolerance for such incidents, he remarked that the attack on the High Commission's vehicle demands a decisive response.
The interior minister also questioned why adequate security was not provided to Qazi Faez Isa, especially in light of the threats he had received.
