Petition submitted to prevent Qatari prince from hunting in Pakistan

Islamabad (Staff Report): A petition was submitted to Islamabad High Court (IHC) against Punjab permit notification issued to Qatari prince for hunting in Pakistan on Thursday.

According to details, Punjab government issued notifications allowing Qatari prince to hunt in Pakistan, and also allotted Bahawalnagar to Qatari Premier, Bhakkar, Jhang and Layyah to Crown Prince Hamad Bin Jassim.

The petition statement claims that the permit notification issued allotting areas to Qatari Prince is violation of the Wild Birds and Animals Protection Act 1912.

The petition also demands to cancel permit notifications and to submit details of security expenses allocated for Qatari Princes.
