Lahore (Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken disciplinary action against national team fast bowler Naseem Shah, imposing a hefty fine of Rs20 million for violating the terms of his central contract.

The decision was made official following a hearing by the PCB’s Disciplinary Committee.

According to PCB sources, Naseem Shah was found to have breached several key clauses of his central contract, which led the board to form an inquiry committee to investigate the matter thoroughly.

The committee reviewed all aspects of the case, examined evidence, and listened to the player’s explanation before recommending the imposition of a fine.

Following the inquiry, the PCB Disciplinary Committee concluded that Naseem Shah had indeed committed a breach of the rules and regulations outlined in his contract.

The Rs 20 million penalty is being described as the largest fine imposed on any national player in recent years, reflecting the seriousness with which the board views contractual compliance.

The PCB has emphasized that maintaining discipline and adherence to contractual obligations is crucial for professional conduct in the national team.

The fine serves as a warning to all players about the importance of following board regulations.
