Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday voiced profound grief over the tragic loss of lives after the roof of a tuition centre collapsed in Lahore's Kahna area.
In separate statements, the president and the premier expressed heartfelt sorrow over the children who lost their lives in the incident.
They prayed that the departed souls be granted eternal peace and the highest ranks in Jannah, while also extending their sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
The president and the premier also prayed for the quick recovery of those injured in the accident and wished them a speedy return to health.
President Zardari said the deaths of innocent children had deeply saddened the entire nation, emphasizing that strict and effective safety measures must be put in place to ensure such heartbreaking incidents do not happen again.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep grief over the loss of young lives and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the grieving families.
The prime minister directed the relevant authorities to provide the injured with every available medical facility and ensure they receive the best possible treatment without delay.
