Tehran (Web Desk): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed that any understanding between Iran and the United States (US) must be based on mutual commitments rather than one-sided expectations.

He said Iran would fulfill its obligations only if Washington implements the terms outlined in the memorandum of understanding (MoU).

"Baseless threats do not solve problems," President Pezeshkian said, adding that Iran has consistently maintained that decisions should be made with wisdom, careful judgment, and respect for human dignity.

The Iranian president further stated that Iran remains committed to peace, mutual respect, and constructive dialogue.

However, he emphasized that when it comes to taking practical steps, the country will act decisively and without hesitation to safeguard its national interests and sovereignty.

Reaffirming Tehran’s position, Pezeshkian said Iran is willing to strengthen relations on the basis of mutual respect and concrete actions, but made it clear that there would be no compromise on the country's national interests or dignity.
