T20I tri-series: Pakistan set 208-run target for UAE

Abu Dhabi (Web Desk): Pakistan has set a target of 208 runs for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the ongoing Tri-Nation T20 Series.

The second match of the series is being played between Pakistan and UAE at Sharjah's ground. Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. The national team's first wicket fell at 9 runs when Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed for just 8 runs.

Fakhar Zaman also failed to make a significant contribution, managing only 6 runs before being bowled out by Haider Ali’s delivery. Following Fakhar Zaman’s dismissal, Salman Agha came to the crease but could not withstand the UAE bowlers and contributed just 5 runs to the total.

Opening batsman Saeem Ayub displayed an excellent performance, scoring 69 runs off 38 balls, with 4 sixes and 7 fours. Hassan Nawaz also managed to score a half-century, hitting 6 sixes and 2 fours to make 56 runs. Mohammad Nawaz scored 25 runs, while Mohammad Haris could only manage 1 run.

Faheem Ashraf scored 16 runs, Hassan Ali made 9 runs, and Salman Mirza contributed just 3 runs. Pakistan completed their innings with a total of 207 runs, setting UAE a target of 208 runs for victory.

UAE's captain, Muhammad Wasim, expressed pride in the opportunity to play against two major Asian teams, calling it another milestone in their development journey.

It is worth noting that in the first match of the Tri-Nation T20 Series, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 39 runs.
