Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has instructed authorities to bring down the price of roti across the province, following a recent decrease in flour prices.
Chairing a meeting on commodity pricing in Lahore on Thursday, she directed the Price Control Department to take prompt action to adjust roti prices accordingly, ensuring that the reduction in flour costs directly benefits the general public.
Expressing her determination to lower the cost of bread to its minimum, the Punjab CM highlighted that rising food prices disproportionately impact low-income households and must be addressed with immediate effect.
Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed her administration’s dedication to shielding the underprivileged from the strain of food inflation and emphasized the need for urgent measures to alleviate their financial burden.
