Islamabad (Web Desk): An Islamabad court on Wednesday issued Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former premier Imran's Khan non-bailable arrest warrants in the judge-threatening case.

According to details, Civil judge Malik Aman announced the verdict rejecting PTI chief's petition seeking exemption from the hearing and directed him to appear before it on April 18.

During the proceeding, Imran's lawyer had earlier requested Judicial Magistrate Malik Aman to restore his bailable warrant, saying that the life of his client was in danger.
On March 24, the court had converted Imran's non-bailable arrest warrant into a bailable one.

The case against the former prime minister was registered on August 20, 2022 with the Margalla Police Station in the federal capital over his remarks at a rally in F9 Park where he warned Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and high ranking police officials of dire consequences, as well as the judiciary for what he had called its “biased” attitude towards his party.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) started contempt of court proceedings against the former prime minister.

However, the court later removed the terror charges and also pardoned Imran Khan after he tender an apology in the contempt case.
