Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces have eliminated 32 India-sponsored terrorists during operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan over the last 24 hours, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on night 28/29 July 2026, multiple intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations were conducted in district Khyber of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
"During these targeted operations, security forces effectively engaged different terrorist locations killing 24 terrorists belonging to Fitna al Khwarij," the statment said.
Meanwhile, the ISPR stated that the security forces also conducted multiple intelligence-based operations in District Nushki of Balochistan where after an intense engagement eight terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan were sent to hell.
The military’s media wing said that weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices used by terrorists were also recovered and destroyed during operations.
“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area. Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday commended the security forces and law enforcement agencies for carrying out successful intelligence-based operations against terrorists associated with Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
In their separate statements, the president and the premier praised the professionalism and operational expertise of the security personnel, who neutralised 24 Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in Khyber District and eight militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan in Noshki District.
President Zardari said that terrorist groups backed by India would never be allowed to achieve their hostile objectives against Pakistan.
“The ongoing operations against Indian proxy groups of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan are essential for safeguarding national security,” the president stated.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the officers and personnel of the security forces were continuing to conduct effective operations against terrorists attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation.
“The entire nation, including myself, stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces in our unwavering resolve to safeguard our beloved homeland,” the prime minister added.
The president and the prime minister reaffirmed their determination to counter every plot targeting Pakistan’s peace, stability and sovereignty, stressing that the country's unity and the professional capabilities of its security forces would ensure the failure of such conspiracies.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday lauded the security forces for carrying out a series of highly effective intelligence-based operations against Indian-backed terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, saying the actions resulted in the elimination of 32 militants and successfully disrupted their hostile plans.
He praised the bravery, dedication, and exceptional professionalism displayed by the troops, describing their performance as a testament to the armed forces' unwavering commitment to national security.
Naqvi said the successful operations and the security forces' continued efforts to restore lasting peace across both provinces deserved the nation's highest appreciation.
He noted that the people of Pakistan remain firmly united with their security forces in the ongoing campaign to wipe out terrorist proxy networks and ensure peace and stability throughout the country.
Reiterating the government's uncompromising resolve against terrorism, the interior minister said operatives linked to these hostile groups would find no safe refuge, adding that security forces would continue pursuing every remaining militant until the threat is completely eradicated.
