Swat (Web Desk): An Elite Force constable was martyred while four terrorists were killed and several others reportedly injured, Swat police stated on Wednesday.
The operation is being jointly conducted by the Swat Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Shalkho Sar area, where security forces launched action against terrorists.
According to a Swat Police spokesperson, the operation is taking place under the close supervision of the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand and the District Police Officer (DPO) Swat to ensure effective coordination on the ground.
The spokesperson said law enforcement personnel have reinforced the security cordon around the area, preventing the militants from escaping as the operation progresses.
Police officials reported that the militants suffered significant losses during the gun battle, with four terrorists killed while several others sustained injuries.
During the fierce exchange of fire, Elite Force Constable Gulfam laid down his life while courageously confronting the militants.
Honouring the fallen officer, the police said his sacrifice reflected the force’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding peace, adding that officers remain prepared to make every possible sacrifice to protect the region from terrorism.
The police spokesperson further stated that the operation in Shalkho Sar is still underway, with security forces continuing search and clearance activities in the area.
