Karachi (Staff Report): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday closed the day with positive trend as the benchmark KSE-100 index gained 73 points.
The index touched the day's high of 42,457 points and a low of 42,195 points to close at 42,363pts with 60 million shares traded on the exchange.
Nearly 140m shares worth Rs6 billion were traded on the exchange. The textile spinning sector dominated trading with 27.7m shares traded while commercial banks and technology sectors followed with 23.9m and 17.9m shares traded respectively.
A total of 357 symbols were traded, of which 215 advanced, 121 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
