Karachi (Web Desk): Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has issued a strong warning, stating that any attempt to challenge Pakistan’s sovereignty will result in consequences, for which the aggressor will be solely responsible.
Speaking at the passing-out parade of Maritime Warriors at the Pakistan Naval Academy, the Field Marshal praised the discipline and enthusiasm of the cadets, saying their turnout reflects the high standards of the academy. He added that the confidence shown by the graduating cadets embodies the hopes and expectations of the entire nation.
He extended congratulations to cadets from Turkey, Bahrain, Iraq, Palestine, and Djibouti for completing their training, noting that they are now part of a navy renowned for its military ethics, exceptional skills, and unmatched professionalism.
Field Marshal Munir emphasized the importance of continuously enhancing operational capabilities, noting that naval warfare is evolving rapidly and Pakistan must adapt to these changes. He said maintaining a strong and effective maritime force is now essential for the country.
Addressing regional tensions, he criticized India for its arrogant and aggressive behavior, stating that New Delhi seeks political gain through military strength, nationalism, and manufactured strategic narratives. He recalled that India launched two unjustified attacks on Pakistan under the guise of counterterrorism, but Pakistan’s strong and timely response prevented the region from descending into wider conflict.
“Despite Indian provocations, Pakistan has always demonstrated patience and responsibility,” he said, adding that Pakistan’s preference has always been peace, and it is now recognized as a net regional stabilizer.
However, he warned that any assumption that Pakistan would tolerate an attack on its sovereignty is a dangerous misconception. “If any enemy believes Pakistan is weak or incapable of responding, they are gravely mistaken,” he said. “We are constantly strengthening our national power, and we will not hesitate to defend our sovereignty and national interests under any circumstances.”
Field Marshal Munir concluded by stating that Pakistan’s national spirit has grown stronger through challenges, and today, the country is more united, resilient, and determined than ever before.
