Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has once again increased the prices of petroleum products and issued a notification announcing the revised rates, which will take effect from July 29, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the prices have been revised in line with the government's prescribed pricing mechanism based on recommendations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Under the new rates, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs1.55 per litre, taking the new price to Rs388.38 per litre.
Similarly, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs1.63 per litre, bringing the new retail price to Rs335.81 per litre.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs1 per litre, setting it at Rs334.18 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel had been increased to Rs386.83 per litre.
The latest revision has once again pushed up the prices of both major petroleum products.
