Renowned poet Muzaffar Warsi remembered on death anniversary 

Lahore (Web Desk): The 15th death anniversary of renowned poet and Naat Khawan Muzaffar Warsi is being observed today (Wednesday).

Born in 1933 in Meerut, India, Warsi began his literary journey writing lyrics for Pakistani films. Over time, he emerged as a distinguished figure in Hamd and Naat poetry, earning admiration for his spiritual and heartfelt verses.

Throughout his career, he published collections encompassing various forms of poetry and penned his autobiography, Gaye Dinon Ka Suraagh, which is widely celebrated as a literary classic. 
In addition to poetry, Warsi contributed columns and articles to Urdu newspapers, sharing his insights and reflections with readers.

Warsi’s melodious voice brought his Na’ats to life, many of which became widely popular and even adopted as mobile ringtones. Among his most cherished recitals is “Koi to hai jo nizam-e-hasti chala raha hai”, which continues to resonate with audiences.

His exceptional talent and devotion earned him celebrity status in the realm of Naat recitation, and the Government of Pakistan honored him with the Pride of Performance award in 1988.

Muzaffar Warsi passed away in Lahore on this day in 2011, leaving behind a timeless legacy that continues to inspire poetry lovers and devotees alike.
