Gold price increases by Rs21,100, reaches to all-time high of Rs551,662 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): In a dramatic shift in the local market, gold prices skyrocketed on Wednesday, setting a new record.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs21,100, reaching an unprecedented Rs551,662.

Meanwhile, 10 grams of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs18,090 to Rs472,961, and 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed by Rs16,583, settling at Rs433,563.

Silver also saw a noticeable rise, with 24-karat silver per tola going up by Rs271 to Rs11,911, and 10 grams of silver increasing by Rs232 to Rs10,211.

On the international stage, gold continued its upward momentum, adding $211 to reach $5,293 per ounce, marking yet another record. Silver prices followed suit, rising by $2.71 to $114.36 per ounce, the association said.
