Quetta (Web Desk): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has highlighted a remarkable improvement in Quetta’s security situation, reporting a 70 percent drop in criminal incidents over the past two months.
He credited this positive trend to the provincial government’s strategic initiatives and the persistent efforts of law enforcement agencies.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Sarfraz Bugti called the decline a clear indication that the government’s security policies are on the right track.
He pointed out that technology is playing a central role in protecting the public, revealing that 97 percent of the surveillance cameras under the Quetta Safe City Project have been restored and are now fully functional, enhancing the city’s monitoring capabilities and helping to curb crime.
The Balochistan CM stressed that the provincial administration is pursuing coordinated and sustained measures to ensure lasting peace and security throughout Balochistan.
He reiterated that the government is maintaining a strict zero-tolerance stance toward terrorists and criminal groups, taking decisive action to remove threats to public safety.
Sarfraz Bugti praised the Balochistan Police for their frontline role in tackling crime and terrorism, acknowledging their professionalism, dedication, and sacrifices in safeguarding citizens and their property.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Balochistan CM he assured residents that full support will continue to be provided to law enforcement agencies, with all available resources being mobilized to guarantee a secure and peaceful environment for the people of the province.
