Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan has paid tribute to the ten Pakistan Army soldiers who lost their lives in Kech district of Balochistan.
“Our brave soldiers continue to lay down their lives to keep us safe from terrorists, PM Imran said in a tweet and added, “I salute the 10 martyred soldiers who repulsed a terrorist fire raid on checkpost in Kech Balochistan.” “We are resolute in our commitment to rid Pakistan of all forms of terrorism,” he maintained.
At least ten Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack on a security check post in Kech district of Balochistan province, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Thursday.
The incident happened “on night of January 25 and 26. During intense exchange of fire, a terrorist was killed and several injured,” military’s media wing said in a statement.
The ISPR further said that three terrorists were also apprehended during the retaliatory action, adding that a follow-up clearance operation is "in progress to hunt down perpetrators of the incident".
The statement added that the armed forces are determined to “eliminate terrorists from our soil no matter what the cost.”
