Tehran (Web Desk): Following recent missile strikes on Iran by the United States US and Israel, Tehran has broken its silence, adopting a strongly confrontational stance.
The Iranian leadership sent a clear message to Washington and Tel Aviv, stating that while the conflict may have begun on their terms, its conclusion is no longer under their control.
The head of Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Committee condemned the attacks, warning that the US and Israel have “played with fire” and that Iran’s response will be far more severe than they can imagine.
According to both Iranian and international media reports, strategic locations in Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom, and Karaj were targeted during the strikes.
Israeli authorities have claimed that their attacks were limited to government buildings and military bases. Following the missile strikes on the outskirts of Tehran, plumes of smoke were reported rising into the sky, though, as of this writing, no casualties have been officially confirmed.
Iranian officials stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Air Force have been placed on high alert, and plans for a retaliatory operation have been finalized.
Experts suggest that Iran’s warning of an “extremely harsh response” could involve large-scale missile and drone strikes, potentially affecting the entire Middle East region.
