Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday received a telephone call from Prime Minister of New Zealand Christopher Luxon.
During the cordial conversation both leaders discussed the evolving developments in the Middle East.
PM Shehbaz briefed the New Zealand premier on Pakistan’s continued diplomatic engagement and its active efforts aimed at easing tensions and encouraging peace in the region through dialogue.
PM Luxon expressed his strong appreciation for Pakistan’s responsible and constructive diplomatic role, particularly its engagement efforts with both Washington and Tehran, and conveyed his best wishes for the success of these ongoing mediation initiatives.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, PM Shehbaz emphasized the country’s consistent dedication to promoting peace, stability, and dialogue not only in the region but also beyond it.
The two leaders also expressed a shared interest in further enhancing Pakistan–New Zealand relations, noting with satisfaction the friendly and cooperative ties between the two countries.
They particularly acknowledged the valuable contribution of the Pakistani community living in New Zealand.
On the occasion, PM Shehbaz extended a cordial invitation to PM Christopher Luxon to visit Pakistan officially at a time of his convenience.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close communication in the days ahead to continue coordination on matters of mutual interest.
