California (Web Desk):: Popular messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out new features aimed at enhancing the status sharing experience and making it easier for users to connect across Meta’s platforms.

With the latest update, the layout of the status screen has been redesigned. Notably, the view count has been moved to the left side of the screen, resembling the style used in Instagram Stories.

Additionally, two new buttons have been added to the right side of the status screen, enabling users to share their WhatsApp status directly to Facebook or Instagram. This option is available not only for image and video statuses but also for text-based statuses.

To use these new sharing options, users need to link their WhatsApp account with the Meta Account Center. However, this step is completely optional, and users can link or unlink their accounts at any time.

WhatsApp has emphasized that whether or not accounts are linked, all messages and calls will remain end-to-end encrypted, ensuring users' privacy and security are not compromised.

Currently, these features are available only to users running the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp, with plans to roll them out to more users in future updates.
