Riyadh (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Riyadh on Monday at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to participate in the 9th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference.
Upon landing at King Khalid International Airport, he was received by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, along with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, who extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation.
Accompanying the premier is a high-level delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi and Bilal bin Saqib.
During the visit, PM Shehbaz will represent Pakistan at the FII Conference and hold a bilateral meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The discussions between the two leaders are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, energy, and manpower, as well as reviewing regional and international developments of shared interest.
PM Shehbaz is also scheduled to meet with global leaders and heads of international organizations attending the conference to explore new prospects for collaboration and investment opportunities for Pakistan.
