Washington (Web Desk): Following a shooting incident near the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of 500 additional security personnel to Washington D.C. to enhance security and address any potential threats. Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, confirmed that the president made this immediate decision to strengthen the city's security measures in response to the attack.

Condemning the incident, Esper stated that any attack on security personnel will not be tolerated. The increased deployment of security forces is aimed at bolstering Washington’s overall safety and preventing similar incidents from occurring in the future.

The shooting left two National Guard officers critically injured, and their condition remains serious.
