Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended heartfelt greetings of Eid-ul-Azha to all Pakistanis and the entire Muslim Ummah, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the occasion.

In separate messages, they noted that Eid-ul-Azha reflects the values of unwavering faith, endurance, devotion, honesty, and sacrifice demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). The leaders said the occasion serves as a reminder for Muslims to strengthen these qualities in their daily lives.

President Zardari stated that the true essence of sacrifice lies in caring for others and sharing happiness with those facing difficulties.

He said Eid celebrations remain incomplete unless disadvantaged groups, including the poor, widows, orphans, labourers, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable members of society, are also remembered.

The president further stressed the importance of supporting individuals who silently bear hardships without seeking help.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the principles of sacrifice, harmony, and collective unity play a vital role in the development and stability of nations.

Referring to international issues, he said the Pakistani nation stands firmly with the oppressed people of Palestine and those living in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The prime minister also prayed that Allah Almighty grants the Muslim Ummah the real blessings of Eid-ul-Azha, accepts their acts of sacrifice, and blesses the world with peace, compassion, and mutual understanding.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also extended Eid-ul-Azha greetings to Muslims in Pakistan and across the world.
