Islamabad (Web Desk): Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday stated that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected revenue of Rs7,000 billion by 26th June for the first time in the history of Pakistan.
In a post on Twitter, the finance minister said that the revenue collection will further increase till 30th of this month.
The development comes just days before the end of the ongoing fiscal year i.e. 30 June 2023.
Last month, FBR provisionally collected Rs559 billion in May 2023 against the monthly target of Rs 621 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs 62 billion in May 2023.
The FBR set a tax collection target of Rs7.6 trillion for 2022-23.
