Islamabad (Web Desk): WhatsApp, the world's most popular messaging platform, offers a range of built-in features that many users are still unaware of despite using the app every day.

One such feature allows users to change the appearance of their messages by applying different text styles without installing any additional tools.

To make a message bold, users simply need to place an asterisk (*) at the beginning and end of the text. For example: *text*.

For italic text, an underscore (_) should be added before and after the message, such as _text_.

Similarly, users can apply strikethrough formatting by placing a tilde (~) at both ends of the text, for example: ~text~.

WhatsApp also supports monospace formatting. To use it, users need to place three backticks () before and after the text, for example: text```.

Although these text-formatting options have been available on WhatsApp for several years, many users remain unaware of them. The feature allows users to make their messages more organized, expressive, and visually distinctive during conversations.
