Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has announced revised prices for petroleum products, reducing the price of petrol while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD).
According to the latest notification, the price of of petrol has been reduced by Re1 per litre while high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs3.37 per litre.
Earlier, on July 24, the government had also revised petroleum prices for July 25, increasing the price of diesel by Rs4.80 per litre and petrol by Rs3.66 per litre.
Following that revision, petrol was priced at Rs335.18 per litre, while high-speed diesel stood at Rs383.46 per litre, with those rates remaining effective until July 27.
It is worth noting that on July 18, under the daily pricing mechanism, petrol became Rs5.44 per litre more expensive, while diesel witnessed a sharp increase of Rs31.05 per litre.
Due to the closure of international markets, petroleum prices for July 21 were announced later, with petrol becoming Rs0.35 per litre cheaper, whereas diesel increased by Rs5.71 per litre.
For July 22, petrol prices were raised by Rs4.93 per litre and diesel by Rs7.15 per litre. On July 23, petrol became Rs6.39 per litre more expensive, while diesel increased by Rs7.83 per litre.
Similarly, for July 24, the price of petrol was increased by Rs4.40 per litre, while diesel became Rs3.62 per litre more expensive.
