PM Imran Khan returns after day-long Qatar visit

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Islamabad on Thursday evening after completing his day-long visit to Qatar.

Qatar's Energy Minister Saad Sheirda Al-Kaabi received the prime minister at the airport, the Radio Pakistan reported.

The prime minister held meeting with Emir of Qatar and his Qatari counterpart to discuss issues of mutual interest.

The focus of the visit was to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional developments.

PM Imran’s visit comes just two days before the US and Afghan Taliban are expected to sign a landmark peace deal in Doha.
This will be the second visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Qatar after assuming office.

The Amir of Qatar visited Pakistan in June 2019. The visit resulted in strengthening bilateral economic collaboration in diverse areas. PM Imran’s visit will further reinforce this process.
