Karachi (Web Desk): A dignified passing-out parade for the 124th Midshipmen Course and the 32nd Short Service Commission Course was held at the Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi, marking an important milestone for the graduating cadets.
The ceremony was attended by senior naval officers and families, adding to the sense of pride and achievement on the occasion.
Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim Al Bin Ali, was the chief guest, and he was warmly received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf upon his arrival.
During the parade, the cadets presented a smart and disciplined salute, after which the chief guest reviewed the contingent. Outstanding performers were recognized for their excellence and commitment.
The Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medal was awarded to Officer Cadet Umar Mukhtar of Pakistan and Officer Cadet Al-Zahabi Fahad Hissam Farid of Iraq for their exceptional performance during training.
Midshipman Muhammad Uzair Abbas was honoured with the prestigious Sword of Honour for demonstrating exemplary leadership and professional qualities.
Addressing the gathering, Commandant of the Pakistan Naval Academy, Commodore Zia ur Rehman, described the academy as a source of national pride and emphasized its role in shaping future naval leaders through rigorous training and strong values.
In his remarks, Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, stating that the two countries are bound by the shared bond of Islamic brotherhood and long-standing friendship.
He also praised the Pakistan Naval Academy for its high standards of professional training, noting that the institution continues to produce officers of international calibre.
