Belarusian interior minister meets PM Shehbaz, bilateral ties discuss

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov, who visited Islamabad along with a high-level delegation. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and friendly relations between Pakistan and Belarus.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes for Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and expressed anticipation for his visit to Pakistan. He remarked that the friendship between the two countries is growing stronger with time.

Minister Ivan Kubrakov thanked the Pakistani leadership for their warm hospitality and expressed Belarus’s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan in various sectors, including agriculture and industry.

He also highlighted his meetings with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain, calling them fruitful and instrumental in advancing bilateral ties.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi informed the Prime Minister that the Belarusian delegation visited NADRA Headquarters, where they were briefed on Pakistan's digital identity systems and services.

Meanwhile, Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain shared that both countries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the export of skilled Pakistani workers to Belarus. Under this agreement, Belarus will also offer social and medical protections to Pakistani workers.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis Muhammad Awn Chaudhry, and other senior officials.
