Rawalpindi (Web Desk): At least eight Khwarij were killed after the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in general area Razmak of the North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP), the military’s media wing stated on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on reported presence of Khwarij on the night between September 25 and 26.
The statement said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
The military’s media wing said that sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji, found in the area.
“The security forces are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
