Islamabad (Web Desk/Agencies): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan is continuing its humanitarian efforts to assist the war-affected populations of Gaza and Lebanon, following the directives of the Prime Minister.

Recently, they dispatched their 13th consignment of aid, which included 100 tons of winterized tents and blankets sent from Islamabad to Amman, Jordan, specifically for the people of Gaza.

To date, Pakistan has provided a total of 1,381 tons of relief supplies to those impacted by the ongoing conflicts.

A ceremony marking the latest shipment took place at Islamabad International Airport on Saturday.

It was attended by notable guests, including Parliamentarian Barrister Aqeel Malik, the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Zuhair M. H. Darzaid, and representatives from various organizations such as the NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Armed Forces.

During the ceremony, attendees underscored the pressing need for humanitarian aid to support the affected communities in Palestine and Lebanon, given the severe conditions resulting from the ongoing violence.

They reaffirmed the commitment of the Pakistani government to stand by those in need and emphasized the importance of collaboration among welfare organizations and the general public to strengthen these relief efforts.

The Palestinian Ambassador expressed heartfelt gratitude for the consistent support and generous humanitarian assistance from the people of Pakistan.

He highlighted that such solidarity during challenging times not only provides essential supplies but also serves as a powerful symbol of compassion and unity between the two nations.

So far, Pakistan has sent out a total of 12 consignments, which include 1,281 tons of relief items—10 consignments (1,151 tons) destined for Gaza and two (130 tons) for Lebanon. Additionally, the government has managed to safely evacuate 71 Pakistani nationals from the conflict zones.

In an effort to further assist those in crisis, the Government of Pakistan has established the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Gaza and Lebanon.”

This fund aims to collect public donations to support individuals in these regions who are facing emergencies due to the ongoing conflicts.
