Islamabad: Senator (retd) Talha Mahmood on Tuesday announced to quit Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Talking to the media, Mahmood said the country was going through a crisis at the moment and historically the PPP had tried to improve the country’s circumstances.
The former JUI-F leader did not mention anything about having differences with party chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. However, he said, there was no better political floor than the PPP right now. He said the focus of JUI-F is on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, while there was no major contribution of the party in Punjab and Sindh.
Talha Mahmood also accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of stealing his mandate in the general elections 2024.
