Lahore (Web Desk):Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has stated that road infrastructure across the province is finally receiving the focus it has lacked for years, marking a major shift in development priorities.
While presiding over a performance review session of the Communication and Works Department, she noted that for the first time in decades, serious efforts are being made to improve Punjab's road network.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that construction work on 1,214 roads—stretching a total of 12,000 kilometers—has been successfully completed.
The meeting also decided to phase out the traditional toll collection model and introduce a modern, digital toll system throughout the province.
