America (Web Desk): Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's relationship reportedly ended earlier this year, long before any public indication of trouble surfaced.
According to insiders who spoke with The Sun, the pop star had informed close friends as early as January that her relationship with Bloom was essentially over. Despite this, the pair chose to delay a formal announcement in hopes of reconciling for the sake of their daughter.
“They’ve been trying to make it work, but Katy told friends at the start of the year that things were pretty much done,” one source revealed. “They wanted to keep things quiet in case they found a way back to each other.”
However, the couple’s demanding schedules kept them apart — with Katy currently touring in Australia and Orlando busy filming his upcoming movie Bucking Fastard in Dublin. This distance reportedly took a toll on their relationship.
Notably, Katy was recently seen without her engagement ring — a move insiders say was intentional and meant to send a message. “She knew people would notice,” the source added.
Although the two appeared together at Jeff Bezos’ wedding in Venice, sources say it was not reflective of the real status of their relationship. “It’s been a challenging year,” the insider shared. “Katy wanted to wait until the tour wrapped up before making any official decisions, but she’s grown weary of the situation.”
