Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has authorized a series of development projects in 189 cities under the Punjab Development Program, aiming to boost urban infrastructure and services across the province.
Chairing a high-level meeting in Lahore to assess the progress of the program, she oversaw several key decisions to accelerate urban development efforts.
She highlighted that financial support from international institutions like the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank will contribute to the execution of certain projects.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for strong interdepartmental coordination to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
To monitor progress and meet deadlines, the meeting also approved the creation of a dedicated Project Management Unit to oversee the program’s implementation.
