Lahore (Web Desk): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of its flights to London from March 2026, marking an expansion in its operations to the UK. This development will further strengthen air connectivity between Pakistan and the United Kingdom and provide enhanced travel options for passengers.
According to airline sources, PIA has secured weekly slots for four flights at London's Heathrow Airport. These slots were previously allocated to Turkish Airlines during the period of restrictions to ensure their availability, but they have now been reclaimed by PIA.
Sources revealed that during the restriction period, PIA temporarily handed over its valuable slots to Turkish Airlines to avoid their loss. However, these slots have now been successfully regained, and flights to London will resume in March 2026.
The resumption and expansion of the London flight operations are expected to not only benefit passengers with improved travel options but also contribute to increased revenue for PIA, strengthening the airline's financial position.
