Islamabad (Web Desk): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has issued a demarche to the Acting British High Commissioner following a protest outside the Pakistani Consulate in the United Kingdom (UK).
According to sources, the Deputy Head of Mission, Matt Kenell, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was provided with a record of the protest that took place around 2 PM.
British High Commissioner, Jane Marriott, is currently out of the country.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has sent an official letter to the UK government demanding action against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The protest was reportedly organized through an official account of the political party in the UK.
During the protest, demonstrators used provocative language and issued death threats against Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned as extremely serious.
The ministry has urged the UK authorities to ensure that its territory is not used for activities aimed at destabilizing Pakistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the UK to take appropriate action to prevent the misuse of its land for actions that could harm Pakistan’s stability, stressing the importance of maintaining national security.
