Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24 karat gold in the local bullion market witnessed an upward trend, rising by Rs900 per tola to reach Rs360,700 on Tuesday, compared to Rs359,800 recorded a day earlier.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the value of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also moved higher by Rs772, now priced at Rs309,242 against the previous rate of Rs308,470. Similarly, the rate of 10 grams of 22 karat gold appreciated by Rs708, with the new price standing at Rs283,482, up from Rs282,774.
In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market. The per tola rate of silver held steady at Rs4,121, while the price for 10 grams remained firm at Rs3,533.
On the global front, the international gold market recorded a modest gain, with the price per ounce increasing by $9 to settle at $3,380, up from the previous close of $3,371.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the international arena remained flat at $38.88 per ounce, showing no movement from the previous session.
