Gaza City (Web Desk): In a brutal act of violence, the Israeli military has once again targeted Al-Nasser Hospital in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 21 people, including four journalists who were on duty.
The slain journalists include Hussam Al-Masri, a cameraman for Reuters; Maryam Abu Daqah, a correspondent for the Associated Press and The Independent; Abu Taha, a reporter for NBC News; and Muhammad Salama, a photojournalist for Al Jazeera.
According to Arab media sources, there has been no official response from the Israeli military or government spokespersons regarding the attack. With the deaths of these journalists, the total number of media personnel killed in Gaza since October 2023 has reached 244, reflecting a sustained and dangerous campaign against the press.
In the past 24 hours alone, Israeli air and ground operations have claimed the lives of an additional 66 Palestinians. Among the victims, 24 were seeking humanitarian aid, while 8 succumbed to starvation.
Israeli tanks and bombings have completely destroyed thousands of buildings across northern, southern, and central Gaza. Observers interpret these attacks as a strategic move toward full control of Gaza.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the Israeli onslaught, more than 62,600 people have been killed, including thousands of women and children. The number of wounded has surpassed 157,000.
Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, Israeli forces arrested 14 Palestinians during a recent operation.
Israeli airstrikes are also ongoing in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a. In a recent attack, six people were killed and 67 injured. Israeli warplanes targeted the presidential compound, a fuel depot, and two power stations. Israeli officials claim these strikes were retaliatory actions in response to missile attacks launched from Yemen.
Mawood Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, has appealed to the international community to pressure Israel to halt attacks on hospitals and allow humanitarian aid to reach civilians.
He stated that Israel is deliberately aiming to annihilate civilian life and is using starvation as a weapon, actions which constitute severe war crimes.
