Islamabad (Staff Report): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Saturday that the country saw a loss of $14 billion in the aftermath of the Panama verdict, while reiterating respect for the verdict.
Accoridng to details, Interior Minister was talking to media after visiting the ‘Sasta Bazar’ where a huge fire took place on August 23, destroying various shops.
While criticising political opponents, he said that increasing political instability and politics for the sake of it will certainly result in hindering economic development in Pakistan.
He highlighted that the country needs to unite to counter international security threat from US and should move forward beyond “dead issues” like DawnLeaks that has reached to is consequences after consensus of civil and military leadership.
Iqbal said that he would request the prime minister to provide help to the affectees.
He also said that the incident would have caused even more damage had there not been safe city projects.
