Karachi (Web Desk): Gold rates in Pakistan recorded a notable increase on Friday, with the price of 24-karat gold gaining Rs4,700 per tola and reaching Rs453,036, according to the latest rates announced by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also climbed by Rs4,029, bringing it to Rs388,404. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold became Rs3,694 more expensive, settling at Rs356,050.
A similar upward trend was seen in the international bullion market, where gold rose by $47 to reach $4,305 per ounce, the association reported.
Silver prices also moved upward in the domestic market. The price of one tola increased by Rs126 to Rs6,963, while the rate for 10 grams went up by Rs108 to Rs5,969.
On the global front, silver also registered a gain of $1.26, taking its price to $64.85 per ounce, according to the association.
