Slovenia  (Web Desk): The European country Slovenia has announced a travel ban on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This decision follows Slovenia's official recognition of Palestine last year, and comes after similar sanctions were imposed earlier this year on two far-right Israeli cabinet ministers.

Slovenia's Foreign Ministry State Secretary, Neva Grašič, stated that the move aims to reaffirm Slovenia's commitment to international law, human rights, and a principled, consistent foreign policy.

In addition to this, Slovenia had previously imposed a ban on arms sales to Israel in August and restricted the import of goods produced in Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories. Grašič explained that Netanyahu faces allegations of war crimes in Gaza, which are currently under investigation by the International Criminal Court. She emphasized that this decision sends a clear message to Israel that Slovenia expects full compliance with international courts' rulings and humanitarian laws.

This action could further strain relations between Slovenia and Israel and sends a strong message about the importance of upholding human rights on the global stage.
