Gold price increases by Rs4,600, reaches to Rs477,762 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices surged sharply in the domestic market on Monday, as 24-karat gold per tola jumped by Rs4,600 to close at Rs477,762, up from the previous rate of Rs473,162, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold registered an increase of Rs3,943, reaching Rs409,603 compared to Rs405,660 in the last trading session. The rate of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also moved upward by Rs3,615, settling at Rs375,483 against Rs371,868.

In the global market, gold also maintained an upward trajectory, gaining $46 per ounce to reach $4,554, compared with the previous level of $4,508.

Meanwhile, silver prices mirrored the same trend, with per tola silver rising by Rs 236 to Rs 8,270. The price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs 203 to Rs 7,090. Internationally, silver climbed by $2.36 to settle at $77.86 per ounce.
