Islamabad (Web Desk): A petition has been submitted before the Supreme Court (SC) requesting immediate medical intervention for the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including his transfer to a healthcare facility and prompt judicial directives concerning his treatment.
In the plea, the court has been requested to direct authorities to move him without delay to Shifa International Hospital so that he may undergo a detailed and comprehensive medical evaluation.
The petition maintains that he is reportedly suffering from issues affecting his eyesight and therefore requires an examination by a qualified ophthalmology specialist to assess his condition properly.
The application also sought permission for his personal doctors, Dr Faisal Sultan and Dr Asim Yousaf, to be allowed access in order to oversee his medical assessment and subsequent care.
It was requested that all examinations and treatment procedures should take place under the supervision of his designated physicians to guarantee transparency and ensure appropriate medical standards are maintained.
The petition was filed PTI founder’s legal representatives, Latif Khosa, Shehbaz Khosa and Hamza Sattar, who have additionally appealed to the court to take up the matter on an urgent basis in view of the health concerns outlined in the filing.
