34 Indian-sponsored terrorists killed in separate in KP, Balochistan operations: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces eliminated 34 terrorists in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), over the last few days, security forces conducted a series of high-tempo intelligence-driven operations, part of relentless counter terrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Indian proxies, Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.

As per the statement, 26 militants associated with Fitna Al Khwarij were killed on February 24 during four separate clashes in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a separate action in the Sambaza area of Balochistan’s Zhob district, eight members of Fitna Al Hindustan were also shot dead.

Detailing the operations, the military said security personnel detected the movement of a group attempting to cross into Pakistan through the Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan.

Troops moved in to intercept them, and during the ensuing exchange of fire, one militant was killed. The statement highlighted that the slain individual was later confirmed to be an Afghan national.

In another IBO in Lakki Marwat district, forces targeted a militant hideout. After a fierce gunfight, three militants were killed, the ISPR said.

The statement further noted that 10 militants were eliminated in an operation in the Narmi Khel area of Bannu district, while an additional 12 were killed in Mir Ali, North Waziristan.

During the fifth engagement, own troops conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Sambaza, Zhob District. After an intense fire exchange, eight terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan were successfully neutralized.

The military’s media wing said that weapons and ammunition were recovered from Indian-sponsored killed khwarij and terrorists militants, who had been actively involved in numerous acts of terrorism in the region.

The statement said that the security forces of Pakistan remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers. Sanitization operation are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area.

“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
