Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday held a meeting with Russian Ambassador Albert P. Khorev in Islamabad, where they discussed a range of issues aimed at strengthening the ties between their countries.

The two sides focused on improving cooperation in counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics initiatives, agreeing to resume and intensify the counter-terrorism dialogue.

Both sides expressed interest in increasing the exchange of delegations to bolster mutual understanding and collaboration.

Ambassador Khorev extended an invitation to Pakistani officials to participate in specialized anti-narcotics training programmes in Moscow and Siberia.

Interior Minister Naqvi acknowledged that terrorism remains a global threat, requiring joint efforts to address effectively.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its relations with Russia, noting the numerous opportunities for collaboration across different sectors.

The meeting emphasized the potential for deeper engagement between the two nations, particularly in areas crucial to regional and international stability.
