Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former premier Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi was released from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on Thursday.
The former first lady spent nine months in jail after being sentenced to 14 years for the Toshakhana case on January 31.
Her sentence was later suspended by the IHC, but shortly after, she was re-arrested in the Toshakhana Two case.
On Wednesday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had approved the bail of Bushra Bibi against the surety bond of Rs1 million in the new Toshakhana case.
The Toshakhana case revolves around accusations of corruption involving both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, particularly regarding the sale of gifts received from foreign leaders.
