Lahore/Sialkot (Web Desk): Alibaba.com has officially introduced Accio Work in Pakistan, describing it as “The Agentic Business Team for SMEs,” in a move aimed at helping local exporters modernize and expand their international operations.

The launch, announced in Lahore and Sialkot on May 22, 2026, represents a major step toward AI-driven digital trade solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The platform has been developed as an autonomous and plug-and-play workforce capable of managing complete business operations for exporters.

As Pakistan’s export sector continues adapting to the fast-changing global market, the company said advanced artificial intelligence is becoming essential for businesses seeking to remain competitive internationally.

Accio Work has been designed to address several long-standing challenges faced by Pakistani exporters, including shortages of skilled talent, limited access to digital tools, and the growing complexity of global trade operations.

Unlike conventional AI software, Accio Work operates as what Alibaba.com describes as an active and agentic workforce. Built on the company’s experience in real-world B2B commerce, the system functions like a multi-department business team that can identify opportunities, oversee daily operations, and proactively complete tasks.

“Accio Work is not just a software tool, it is The Agentic Business Team for SMEs,” said Ethan Wang. “By integrating directly with platforms like Alibaba.com, it serves as a digital workforce that handles everything from market research and high-quality creative generation to customer engagement and store diagnostics.

We are empowering Pakistani exporters to scale globally while overcoming traditional resource constraints.”

The platform combines several specialized “Agent Skills” within a single workspace to support businesses across multiple operational areas.

Its Market Intelligence feature provides trend analysis and data-driven insights to help exporters make decisions about product selection and market expansion.

The Operations & Creative tools automate the creation of professional product listings and visual content to help businesses maintain globally competitive online storefronts.

In addition, the Customer Engagement system functions as a round-the-clock sales support unit by identifying serious buyers and ensuring quick and effective communication.

The Performance Diagnostics feature delivers automated daily store reports along with recommendations related to pricing strategies and logistics improvements.

The rollout of Accio Work is part of Alibaba.com’s broader effort to strengthen Pakistan’s export ecosystem through digital transformation. According to the company, the number of Pakistani exporters using the platform grew by 20 percent year-on-year by March 2026, prompting expanded support for businesses seeking greater digital maturity.

Roger Luo said the company had already introduced Trade Assurance and expanded logistics support in 2025, while the latest initiative is intended to provide sellers with a stronger competitive advantage.

“In 2025, we laid the foundation through Trade Assurance and expanded logistics. In 2026, we are giving our sellers a competitive edge by deploying The Agentic Business Team for SMEs,” he said. “Whether our partners are in the textile, sports goods, or surgical instrument sectors, Accio Work serves as the engine that accelerates their growth in global markets.”

Founded in 1999,  Alibaba.com operates as one of the world’s leading B2B e-commerce marketplaces, connecting buyers and suppliers across more than 200 countries and regions.

The platform offers a range of trade services that help businesses reach international markets, source products, connect with suppliers, and process orders efficiently. It operates under the Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group.
