Legendary comedian Rangeela remembered on 19th death anniversary

Lahore (Web Desk): The 19th death anniversary of comedian, film actor, singer and director, Rangeela is being observed today (Friday).

Rangeela's real name was Muhammad Saeed Khan. He was born in Parachinar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in 1937.

Rangeela proved his skills in almost all departments of film including acting, direction, production, scrip writing, and even singing.

First, he worked as painter and made film boards, and later got a chance in M J Rana’s ” Jatti” in 1957 wherein he performed tremendously which shot him to fame in late 50s.

Rangeela’s other famous films include "Sala Sahab" and "Sahab Ji". His career spanned over four decades in which he performed over 300 films.

He received eleven Nigar Awards and Pride of Performance in recognition of his services.

Rangeela died on this day in 2005, at the age of 68.
