Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, was transferred from Adiala Jail to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital on February 24 for a follow-up procedure related to his eye treatment.
Hospital authorities reported that Khan received the second dose of the anti-VEGF intravitreal injection.
According to the Executive Director of PIMS, during the procedure, a cardiology consultant conducted an echocardiogram and ECG for Khan, both of which returned normal results.
His health remained stable throughout his stay and treatment at the hospital, and the consulting physician confirmed that he was medically stable.
The procedure was carried out under the supervision of ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery specialists from both PIMS and Shifa International Hospital. It was performed as a day-care surgery after a board of specialists conducted a thorough examination beforehand.
The hospital statement confirmed that Khan was discharged with all necessary instructions, prescriptions, and follow-up advice, ensuring continuity of care after the procedure.
